Description The advanced specialist on GNSS as a support function for ADAS is required to lead the technical discussion, to evaluate and judge the solution offered by suppliers, and to support to trace and monitor the supplier’s developing process etc. Responsibilities Provide technical support in the fields of GNSS correction service and positioning engine Provide consultancy on GNSS issues and technology Drive the GNSS technical discussions with supplier and support test and validation. Evaluate and judge the solution of the GNSS correction service and positioning engine provided by supplier. Support to trace and monitor the supplier’s developing process. Summarize, align and present within BMW the key issues which might (do) have impact to BMW and BMW’s current and future products within the scope of GNSS high precise location. Prejudge the supplier’s product and recommend acceptance. Risk analysis and impact of BMW relevant milestones. Good knowledge of integrity area, ASIL B for autonomous driving and sensor fusion with IMU to counter GNSS outages: e.g. multiband reception for ionosphere, use of correction data for clock and orbit error, antenna design for multipath rejection, IMU for validation and dead reckoning, protection against spoofing and design requirements, such as protection and alarm level. Qualifications Engineering degree (Master with international studies) in automotive, electrical, mechanical, communications engineering or similar. Ideally M.Sc. or PhD in Geodesy or GNSS systems. Technical Know-How on GNSS, Positioning and Localization. Experience of a broad range of skills related to GNSS data and IMU technology and geodesy. Excellent language skills in English and Chinese (written and oral) mandatory, German language skills appreciated Knowledge/Experience of development process in (ideally automotive) electronic systems (hardware and software) with focus on (ideally) driver assistance functions. Understanding and experience in industrial trend for GNSS positioning in ADAD/AD. Knowledge in GNSS system testing and validation. Knowledge about Supplier management in Automotive industry Experience Work experience in the (automotive) electronic industry or similar 4-6 years Experience of development process with focus on GNSS positioning 1-3 years
